Here’s how your teachers can easily decode standards in 30 seconds.

4-Step Process:

1. Open ChatGPT.

2. Paste this prompt into ChatGPT:
   "Act as a curriculum specialist with expertise in unpacking academic standards. Break down the following standards into:
   1) Learning Target(s)
   2) The depth of understanding required (Bloom’s Taxonomy level).
   3) Depth of Knowledge (Webb’s DOK Framework).
   4) Identify the nouns (what students need to know/understand). Identify the verbs (what students need to do).
   5) List what students must master to meet the standard.
   6) Common student misconceptions.
   7) Real-world applications to enhance engagement.
   8) Sample formative assessment ideas.
   
   Here is the standard: [Insert Standard Here]. Keep it clear and concise.”

3. Replace the placeholder with your actual standard.

4. Hit enter. Watch AI do the time-consuming work.

This turns “What does this standard even mean?” into “Here’s how we’re going to nail it in class.”
