AI School Leadership Minute: Feedback Report for a Teacher

Direct AI Updates for School Leaders: 10/8/2024

One-minute ChatGPT tip:
Turn student feedback into a report for the teacher. Here is how:

  1. Open ChatGPT.

  2. Have a sheet with student feedback for a teacher. I will use this one in the video tutorial below.

  3. Click on the paperclip icon on the prompt bar inside of ChatGPT.

  4. Select the sheet of feedback data.
Crucial data privacy point: Take out student’s personally identifiable information. See full data privacy guide here.

  5. Type a prompt like this into the prompt bar (Feel free to copy and paste this one):
“Act as a school data analyst. Attached is a set of student feedback for a teacher. Create a detailed report of the results for the teacher. Include five compliments and three action points for improvement. Use positive language. Be clear and use simple wording.”
Extra tip: If you pay for ChatGPT Plus, ask it to include visualizations in the report.

If you do not pay for ChatGPT Plus, ChatGPT will only allow you to analyze data once or twice daily. If you plan on using it for data analysis, it is worth the investment of $20/month.
